I am participating in this walk because I would not be here without immigrants. I come from Salvadoran parents who came to this country with hopes for a better path for themselves and a better future for their children. Our vision that includes my family and others who came to this country is one that I want to contribute to, and I know that this walk is a message to those who do not understand me and my family, those who do not want us here, those who fear us: We Are Here!
